Texas Teen Driver Support

As teenagers we all feel invincible. Unfortunately this feeling often translates into reckless driving that can lead to accidents and fatalities. Teenage fatalities from reckless driving and DWI in Texas is a top concern for law enforcement officials. Texas has instituted the teen Graduated Driver License Program, a program designed to lower the risk and increase the safety and education of teen drivers.

Many local and national teen driver safety programs are available for help and support. They are mostly designed by people personally impacted in one way or another by the negative impacts of reckless teen driving.

B.R.A.K.E.S. (Be Responsible and Keep Everyone Safe)

B.R.A.K.E.S. was founded in 2008 to educate teens and their parents about the importance of safe driving. It’s main mission is to prevent accidents and injuries and to most importantly save lives.

B.R.A.K.E.S. offers a free, defensive driving school called the Teen Pro-Active Driving School. The school was created for teens between the ages of 15-19. Each teen is required to have a learner’s permit or a driver’s license with a minimum of thirty hours of driving experience. So far, 3,000 teenagers from 19 states and 2 countries have benefited from this free program. The B.R.A.K.E.S. Teen Pro-Active Driving School specializes in teen training in defensive driving. Their program is designed to serve schools nationwide.
